Galen Scott
Galen Scott, Team Lead for the COASTAL Program within NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey, coordinates high-accuracy elevation surveys for habitat restoration and other applications in the coastal zone. He works with CO-OPS, NOAA’s tides and water levels office, to provide infrastructure, tools, and trainings to tie together geodetic and tidal datums to support elevation critical applications at the land/water interface. Galen started at NOAA as a Presidential Management Fellow in 2003, after receiving a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
