Cape Cod Chapter of MALSCE
THURSDAY, May 10, 2012
You are invited for cocktails @ 6:00 PM and dinner @ 6:30 PM
at Cape Cod Museum of Natural History
869 Route 6A, Brewster, MA
Agenda:
We will be meeting at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History for MALSCE Member Appreciation Month.
The meal will be pot-luck, so please bring a dish to share and something to drink--kind of a BYOBF thing. Our guest speaker will be Mark Adams, GIS Specialist at the Cape Cod National Seashore. Mark will tell us about the convergence of GIS and land surveying in National Park Service projects. Selection of sentinel sites, in association with the University of Rhode Island, involves monitoring of sea level rise relative to natural and man-made features of interest. The NPS-URI Monumentation Project has set benchmarks to record elevations at sentinel sites, and to monitor tides and sea level rise.
RSVP to Bruce Barrow at 508-564-5311, or by email: bbarrow@yarmouth.ma.us by 5/7/12.
