Design Professionals Day at the Massachusetts State House

Join engineers, land surveyors and other design professionals as we meet with our Massachusetts state legislators. We will schedule appointments with your State Senator & State Representative for you on May 8.

May 8 Schedule
8:45 - 9:40 AM: Registration/Breakfast (continental) and receive materials at The Engineering Center, additional briefing at 9:10 AM,
9:40 AM: Walk to State House, go through Security
10 - 10:30 AM: At the State House, Room TBA, Legislative and Issues Briefing
10:45 (Senate) and 11:30 AM (House): Scheduled meetings with your state legislators at the State House
Lobbying in Massachusetts:
Recent changes in the lobbying laws have the effect of sweeping some activities into the category of "lobbying" which previously may not have been considered lobbying. As long as you are participating in Design Professionals Day as a representative of at least one of our associations, discussing the issues set for the day, you do not have to register as a lobbyist.
