What is the Proprietors' Council and How Can I Join?
The MALSCE Proprietors' Council is a group of MALSCE Members that meet three to four times a year to discuss issues related to their business. Any MALSCE member, representing a firm, can be active and participate in the Council. There are no membership applications. The Council has dues of $250/year/firm. Your contact information will be listed on this page (unless you wish to be excluded) which we refer to third parties looking for a surveyor. If you are interested in joining and/or attending a meeting contact Adam Webb at awebb@engineers.org.
The meetings are usually held on a weekday afternoon with cocktails at noon followed by a luncheon and a meeting. The meetings tend to last until 3:30 P.M. The Proprietors' Council Chairman picks the date and topic for each meeting based on input from the members.
The value of our meetings lie in not just the presentation but the peer discussions that follow. We can't effectively practice our profession in a vacuum. We need to keep abreast of what is happening with the rest of the world, our state, our region, our area of practice.
The person who serves as the Representative for the firm must be a MALSCE member in good standing. If you have any questions about the Council or wish to join, please contact Adam Webb at awebb@engineers.org.
