Land Survey Technicians - Allen & Major Associates, Inc.

Allen & Major Associates, Inc. is looking for a Survey CAD Technician for our Woburn, MA & Manchester, NH offices. Project types may include retail, multi-family residential, commercial, medical / institutional, and mixed-use developments. CAD Technician will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of projects assigned and will work under the direct supervision of Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Has good understanding of geometry and trigonometry, and routinely applies trigonometry to solve drafting problems
• Well versed in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, and Carlson Data collection software.
• Provides a competent and quick service to the project staff and suggest ways of improving the quality of the work.
• Reduce field notes and check reductions and calculations
• Prepare various plans based on field and record information
• Perform deed, plan, and utility research. 
• Perform traverse adjustment calculations
• Assist field crews in construction layout.
• Well versed in State Plane Coordinate systems and processing GPS data.

Qualifications:
Candidates holding a current Surveyor-in-Training in Massachusetts is preferred, and have at least 2-5+ years of experience. All candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD technologies. They should possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, a thorough understanding of surveying principals and strong verbal and written communication skills.
