The University of Maine is now offering and accepting applications for three Survey Engineering programs, all of which are 100% online! They are:
Bachelors of Science (BS) in Surveying Engineering Technology
The Surveying Engineering Technology program is a surveying program that focuses on skills and education required for professional practice. Starting with a basic grounding in mathematics and the physical sciences, the student is concurrently and progressively taught a combination of surveying, practical engineering, and business.
Professional Science Masters (PSM) in Engineering & Business
Surveying Engineering Concentration
The Professional Science Master of Engineering and Business is intended for students who have a BS in engineering or engineering technology who want to advance into management positions. The degree combines advanced engineering and business courses with applied field experience. The applied field experience integrates the new skills learned by the student with their needs and the needs of their employer.
Graduate Certificate in Surveying Engineering
Changing technologies in the surveying engineering world require working professionals to return to an academic world to expand their knowledge. Professional Land Surveyors with a BS degree in surveying or related field will expand on their undergraduate knowledge. Similarly professional land surveyors with a non-surveying undergraduate degree will be able to capture knowledge in their chosen second career.
Questions regarding these programs can be directed to Surveying Program Coordinator Professor Ray Hintz, PLS.
