I hope you are enjoying your summer and your work finds you busy this construction season. As a reminder, membership dues renewals for the new fiscal year that began July 1, 2025, will be sent to you in the next week. You will be able to renew your membership online through MALSCE’s updated website and member database.
MALSCE leadership is looking forward to an eventful schedule of events and seminars this upcoming year. Events this summer include:
- Eastern MA Chapter Dinner Party. MALSCE Eastern MA Chapter is hosting a summer roof deck party in the Back Bay! It will be held at the home of TECET Executive Director Elizabeth Tyminski. This event is free to all, and the location details will be shared before the party.
- Update on Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors Regulations 250CMR: Best Practices. Join us for a free 1-hour webinar on an overview of Professional Practice: A Guide to the Practice of Architecture, Engineering, and Land Surveying in Massachusetts given by Paul Tyrell, PE, PLS Chair of the Board of Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors. Paul Tyrell, a practicing Civil Engineer and Land Surveyor, will provide attendees with an overview of professional licensure, common complaints received by the Board against engineers and surveyors as well as insight on other professional licensure issues. Joined by Mr. Tyrell is Paul Campbell, PE, PLS, President of MALSCE, who will be providing practical guidance to current and prospective licensees on best practices for 250 CMR compliance.
Keep an eye out for more events, including a joint Western & Central Chapter dinner party tentatively scheduled for the fall, and a series of professional development webinars and seminars aimed at all levels of our membership, whether you’re just beginning your career in land surveying or are a grizzled veteran.
