Dear fellow MALSCE members and associates,
I hope you enjoyed your summer and your work finds you extremely busy with the coming end of the construction season. As a reminder, 2026 – 2027 dues invoices were sent by email in July, and you can renew your membership online through MALSCE’s updated website and database.
This past spring, the MALSCE Central Chapter voted William (Bill) E. Tirrell, PLS, as the new Central Chapter President. I want to thank Bill for volunteering his time to serve MALSCE and welcome him to the MALSCE Board of Directors. I look forward to working with you. Some other updates on what MALSCE has worked on since our last Annual Meeting:
- Newly licensed Professional Land Surveyors, Professional Engineers and Engineers or Surveyors-In-Training who have passed the PLS, PE or FE/FS exams will be entitled to one year free membership to MALSCE. Good luck to those sitting for their exam this year!
- MALSCE Law Book Update. MALSCE has formed a Law Book Update Committee focused on providing a new Law Book. The Committee met over the summer and laid out their plan for updating the book. MALSCE’s last addendum to the Law Book was in 1988 and the updated book will give updated case law and statutes through today. If you are interested in participating in working on this effort, the Committee welcomes any volunteers. Please contact us.
- Webinars & Seminars. A schedule of seminars and events are listed on the MALSCE Events Calendar. If there a topic you’d be interested in MALSCE having a seminar/webinar planned, or have rerun, contact MALSCE with any ideas you may have. I value your input.
